Frequently asked questions
What can I do on Klassroot?
Join live classes and courses, pass exams to earn certificates, compete in the Quiz Arena, chat and call other members, and earn from partner offers. Approved tutors can also open paid classes and publish courses.
How do I pay for classes and courses?
Add funds to your balance with a secure online payment (card, bank transfer or USSD), then pay from your balance when you join a class, enroll in a course, or register for an exam. Your balance is credited as soon as the payment is confirmed.
How do exams and certificates work?
Finish all the lessons in a course, then take its timed exam. The exam is marked automatically. If you reach the pass mark you get a certificate with a unique ID that anyone can check online. If the course has an exam fee or certificate fee, you pay it from your balance.
Can I get a refund?
You can request a refund for a class until it starts, and for a course within 7 days of buying it, as long as you haven't paid for or taken the exam. Send the request from the class or course, and our team decides. Exam and certificate fees are not refundable.
How do I become a tutor?
Open Classes, then Teach, and apply with your details and CV. An admin reviews every application. Once you are approved you can open paid classes and publish courses straight away.
How does Klassroot make money?
Klassroot charges a 25% service fee on the class prices, course prices, exam fees and certificate fees paid to tutors. Tutors keep the remaining 75%. There is no fee to create an account.
Can I withdraw my money?
Money you earn (from teaching, quiz prizes, offers or referrals) can be withdrawn to your Nigerian bank account once it reaches ₦1,000. Money you deposited can be withdrawn only after it has been spent on Klassroot. Withdrawal requests are reviewed before they are paid out.
Is my money safe?
Balances are calculated on our servers, never in your browser, and payments are confirmed by our payment provider before your balance changes. We review every withdrawal. Never share your password and never pay anyone outside the app.
Can I chat or call other members?
Yes. Use the Chat tab to message anyone, send photos, or start a voice or video call. Every class also has a discussion board for the tutor and students.
